2 c. peaches, sliced
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. milk
4 T. butter
1 T. baking powder
1 c. flour

Topping:
1 c. sugar
1 T. cornstarch
1/4 t. salt
1 c. boiling water
1/2 t. almond extract

Directions:
Directions:
Place peaches in 8" square pan. Combine sugar, milk, butter, baking powder and flour. Pour over peaches.

Topping:
Mix sugar with cornstarch and salt. Sift this mixture over the batter. Mix boiling water and almond extract together and pour over all. Bake at 325* for 50 minutes. Serve with cream, ice cream or plain.
