1 1/4 c. boiling water
1 c. quick cook oats
1 1/2 c. flour
1 t. baking soda
1/2 t. salt
3/4 t. cinnamon
1/4 t. nutmeg
1/2 c. margarine
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 t. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Pour boiling water over oats in a medium bowl; cover; let stand 20 minutes. Grease and flour 9" square pan. Sift flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg onto waxed paper. Beat butter and sugars in large bowl until fluffy. Stir in eggs and vanilla. Add oats; mix well. Stir in flour mixture and mix well. Pour into pan. Bake at 350* about 50 minutes. Frost cake with broiled frosting.
