1/2 cups butter
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup molasses
1 egg
2 1/2 cups flour
2 tsp. powdered ginger
2 dashes ground cloves
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 dash cayenne pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and brown sugar together. Stir in molasses, then egg. In a separate bowl mix flour and spices. Stir in butter/sugar mixture. If dough is too moist, add 2 tbsp. flour. Knead dough lightly then chill for 40 minutes. Roll out dough to 1/8" thick. Cut out gingerbread boy using cookie cutter. Or roll into balls and press down with sugared glass bottom. Bake 350 for 10-12 minutes.
