This recipe will keep for 6 weeks in the refrigerator
3 c. white sugar
1 c. Crisco shortening
3 Tbsp. Baking soda
1 Tbsp. Salt
2 c. Boiling water
2 c. Nabisco bran
4 c. Bran 40% flakes
1 L. Buttermilk
4 Eggs, beaten
2 c. Raisins
5 c. Flour

Directions:
Directions:
Pour boiling water over bran and let stand.
Meanwhile, cream shortening and sugar.
Add eggs and buttermilk.
Add bran mixture.
Sift flour, soda and salt and add to other ingredients.
Add bran flakes and fold in gently until moist through.
Add raisins.
Put batter in refrigerator in ice cream bucket and do not bake on first day.
Bake desired amount in 400 oven for 15 to 20 min.
