Cherry Winks Recipe

3/4 c butter, softened
1 c Sugar
2 Eggs
2 tbsp. Milk
1 tsp. Vanilla
2 1/4 c Flour
1 tsp. Baking Powder
1/2 tsp. Salt
1/2 tsp. Baking Soda
1 c Chopped Pecans
1 c Chopped Dates
1/4 c Maraschino Cherries, chopped
1 3/4 c Corn Flakes, finely crushed
30-35 Maraschino Cherries, halved

Preheat oven to 350
In mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition
Add milk and vanilla, mix well.
Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture.
Stir in Pecans, dates and chopped cherries
Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Shape dough into 1 inch balls, press and place 2" apart on an ungreased baking sheet, press a cherry half in the middle of each one.
Bake for 14-15 minutes.
