1 package yeast
3/4 cup warm water
3/4 cup room temperature beer
3/4 cup olive oil
1 tbsp. fennel seed
1 - 1/2 tsp. salt
pinch sugar
4 - 1/2 cup flour

Directions:
Directions:
Mix yeast and warm water until dissolved. Let stand 10 minutes
Add the rest of the ingredients and mix into a stiff dough
Knead dough until smooth.
Place in a greased bowl and cover with a light dish cloth.
Let rise in warm spot until doubled. About 1 to 1 - 1/2 hours
Punch down and let rest briefly.
Tear off a piece of dough about the size of a baseball
Roll out on a floured surface into a rectangle about 7" x 12" x 1/4" thick
Cut into strip 1/4 inch wide be 7" long.
Gently twist each strip and placed on greased baking sheet
Brush lightly with an egg wash (1 egg beaten slightly with 2 tbsp. water)
Bake at 350º for 20 minutes -turning over half way thru cooking time.
Let cool on wire rack

Awww. Chico. All of us have many great and happy memories from an old hotel and some hot water.
One of my favorite times is when we rented a house and took all our families up for the weekend. Awesome times.
