2 T. olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 6-oz cans tomato paste
salt and pepper to taste
1 14.5 ounce can diced tomatoes
4 shallots, minced
3 cups chicken broth
1-2 cups heavy whipping cream
3 1/2 T. flour
1/4 tsp cayenne papper or more if you like a little bite
1/4 cup whiskey (I use Jack Daniels)
2 6-oz cans white crab meat or a container from Costco, undrained

Directions:
Directions:
Heat olive oil in large pot and salute shallots and garlic until tender. Pour in chicken broth, tomato paste and diced tomatoes. Bring to a boil.
In a small bowl, mix the whipping cream and flour (to avoid clumping). Stir this mixture into the pot and continue cooking until the soup is slightly thickened. Season with cayenne pepper, salt and pepper to taste. Mix in the crab and whiskey and cook until heated through.
