1 cup sugar
2 cans sweetened condensed milk
1 can evaporated milk
5 eggs
1 tsp vanilla

Preheat oven to 350º.

Combine cans of milk, eggs, and vanilla. Set aside.

Melt sugar in a pan over medium until melted and brown. Pour caramel into metal or glass bread pan, tilting each direction until the caramel covers as much of the sides as possible.

Pour milk mixture into caramelized pan. Place pan in another pan of water up to 1/2 way (water bath) and bake for 1 hour or until knife inserted in the middle comes out clean. Cool on rack.

Refrigerator overnight. Before serving, turn out onto plate.
