2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda

1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup oil
3 squares unsweetened chocolate

2 cups sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup sour milk (1/2 cup milk plus 1 1/2 tsp vinegar)
1 tsp vanilla


Directions:
Directions:
Combine flour and baking soda in a large bowl.

In small saucepan, combine butter, oil, and chocolate squares. Cook over low heat to melt chocolate. Stir in 1 cup water. Cool 15 minutes.

Add to flour mixture: sugar, eggs, sour milk, and vanilla. Mix well with spoon. Stir in chocolate.

Pour into 2 greased and floured 8-inch pans.

Bake at 350º for 30 minutes. Cool in pans 5 minutes. Remove and cool completely before frosting.

Combine:
1/2 cup instant pudding mix (chocolate or vanilla)
2 cups of cream (or half and half)
Add:
1/2 cup mascarpone cheese
1/2 cup ricotta cheese
1/2 cup sugar
2 tsp vanilla
