8 c. fresh strawberries, crushed
5 c. sugar
2 tbsp. lemon juice

Heat everything to boiling in Dutch oven over high heat. Boil, stirring often until jam is translucent and thick, about 45 min. Skim off any foam. Immediately pour into hot sterilized jars, leaving 1/4" head space. Wipe rim of jar then put lids as tightly as possible, it will seal.
