1/2 c shortening
1/2 c sugar
1 egg beaten
1 c molasses
2 1/2 c flour
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
2 tsp ginger
1 tsp salt
1 c boiling water
Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and add sugar , beaten egg and molasses. Combine flour , soda , ginger and salt and add to batter, then add boiling water. Cook in a greased pan at 350º for approx 35 min. Bake in 13x9 pan. Enjoy

Pour butterscotch sauce over and ice cream. or lather with butter when warm...yum
