1 1/3 c. packed light brown sugar
1/2 c. vegetable oil
1/4 c. light sour cream
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 3/4 c. all purpose flour
3/4 c. unsweetened cocoa powder
2 tsp. instant coffee granules
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. black pepper
1/2 c. powdered sugar

Directions:
Beat brown sugar and oil in large bowl with electric mixer at medium speed until well blended.
Add sour cream, egg and vanilla; beat until blended.
Combine flour, cocoa, coffee granules, baking soda, salt and pepper in a medium bowl.
Mix well, then beat into brown sugar mixture until well blended.
Cover and refrigerate 3 to 4 hours.

Preheat oven to 350º.

Place powdered sugar in shallow bowl.
Shape dough into 1" balls; roll in powdered sugar.
Place 2" apart on ungreased cookie sheets.

Bake 10-12 minutes or until tops of cookies are firm.
Do not overbake.
Remove to wire racks and cool completely.
