2 3/4 C sifted flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 C shortening
2 1/4 C brown sugar
2 eggs
1 C broken nuts
16 oz package semisweet chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Mix and sift flour, baking powder, and salt together. Set aside.
Melt shortening and mix with brown sugar.
Mix well and cool slightly
Add eggs one at a time and beat well after each one
Add dry ingredients, then nuts, and chocolate chips
Pour into greased pan (10x15) or 2 smaller ones
Bake 25 to 30 min. at 350º
