1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. peanut butter
1 c. shortening (butter)
2 eggs, beaten
2 1/2 c. flour, sifted
2 t. baking soda
1 t. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar, shortening, and peanut butter. Add the eggs. Add flour and baking soda and mix well.
Roll dough into balls the size of a walnut. Flatten with a fork making a criss-cross pattern on the top of the cookie.
Bake for 15 to 20 minutes at 325º.

Phil and Linda Rickman are very good friends of mom's and dad's. When John, Kathryn, and I were growing up in Fort Lauderdale we would see Phil and Linda frequently.
