1 c brown sugar
1/2 c shortening
1 egg
1 c chopped nuts
2 c flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup sour cream

Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar, mix well. Add egg, beat thoroughly.

Sift together flour, soda, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg.

Add dry mixture alternately with sour cream to the shortening mixture. Add nuts.

Drop from Tbsp on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375º for 10 minutes.

Make a thick butter frosting, add vanilla. Spread on cookies while warm to form a glaze. Sprinkle chopped nuts on top.
