Chocolate Sauce:
1/3 cup evaporated milk
1/3 cup sugar
2 tbsp water
1/2 square unsweetened chocolate

Batter:
1/2 cup butter or margarine
3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 squares unsweetened chocolate, melted
1/3 cup flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup chopped walnuts (another 1/2 cup for the topping)

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350ºF. In saucepan combine 1st 4 ingredients and heat till melted and set aside. Cream butter/shortening with sugar, eggs, vanilla and unsweetened chocolate. Mix in flour, salt and 1/2 cup walnuts. Layer 1/2 of the batter into a buttered 8" square pan, then 1/2 of the chocolate sauce, and then the rest of the batter. Bake for 25 min. Pour over rest of the chocolate sauce and sprinkle with another 1/2 cup of finely chopped nuts. Broil 1 to 3 minutes until bubbly.
