1 bag chocolate chips
assorted toppings such as pretzels, m&m's, or other nuts or candy

Directions:
Preheat oven to 400. Line a sheet pan or jelly roll pan with foil that has been well oiled. (need a pan with sides.)Lay out crackers in a single layer in the bottom of pan. Put butter and brown sugar in a saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring constantly until it is well blended and you can't see the butter on top any more. Once it's blended, let boil for 5 min. while stirring. (toffee will pull away from sides when ready.) Pour over crackers and spread out until all crackers are covered. Immediately put in oven for 5 to 6 min. Take out and let cool for 5 min. Sprinkle chocolate chips and let them get soft. With a spatula, spread out chocolate over entire area. Add toppings at this point. Let pan cool for 4 to 5 hrs. or put entire pan in freezer for 30 to 40 min.
