4 lbs. pork spareribs or country-style ribs
1/2 c. chili sauce
1/2 c. Hoisin sauce
1/4 c. brown sugar
3/4 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. hot pepper sauce

Early inthe day:
If using spareribs, cut them in two. Cover ribs with water in a big pot and heat to boiling. Cover and simmer on low for 1 hour. Remove ribs to a platter. If not using right away, cover and refrigerate.
Mix together remaining ingredients. Preheat grill to medium heat. Cook ribs on grill for 15-20 minutes. to heat through, turning often and brushing with sauce frequently during the last 10 minutes.
