Ingredients:  
Ingredients:  
2 c. brown sugar
1 c. shortening
3 eggs
Pinch of salt
1/2 c. sour milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. soda
3 c. flour (enough to make stiff batter)

Filling:
2 c. raisins
1 c. brown sugar
2 T cornstarch
Pinch salt
1 tsp. vanilla (add when cool)

Directions:
Directions:
Cook filling and set aside to cool.
Dissolve soda in milk. Cream sugar, shortening, eggs. Add salt and vanilla. Alternate milk & flour.
Drop by spoonful on cookie sheet. Make slight well in top and add spoonful of filling. Top with small piece of dough.
Bake at 350 º for 10-12 minutes.
