1 1/2 C. dried apricots
Enough water to cover apricots
2 Tbsp. shortening
1/2 C. sugar
1 egg
1 C. sour milk
2 1/2 C. flour
5 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 C. chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cook, drain and chop apricots. Cream together shortening and sugar; add egg, beat and then add sour milk. Add to remaining dry ingredients. Fold in nuts and apricots. Pour into a greased loaf pan. Bake in a 400 degree oven for 1 hour or until done.
