½ lb. soft butter
1 cup confectioners' sugar (sifted)
1 tsp. vanilla
½ lb. chopped walnuts
2¼ cups flour (sifted)

Directions:
Directions:
Cream the butter thoroughly.

Add sugar a little at a time, then add the vanilla.

Add flour alternating with the nuts, beating well after each addition.

Roll into balls.

Bake on a lightly greased cookie sheet at 350º F for about 20 minutes until brown.

When cool, roll in powdered sugar.
