In Ziploc together:
1 cup Quinoa (buy pre rinsed if possible)*
1/2 tsp salt
1 Tbsp brown sugar

1/2 cup maple syrup (small container)
1/4 cup pecans
1/3 cup powdered milk (makes 1 cup liquid)

Directions:
Directions:
Put quinoa in ziploc with salt and sugar. At camp, mix quinoa mixture with 2 cups of water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to a simmer and cook 15 min. (stir occasionally ) Add more water if needed. Let sit for 5 min. Mix powdered milk with 1 cup of water for topping. Serve quinoa with milk, pecans and maple syrup. Serves 3.

*If you do not have pre-rinsed Quinoa you need to rinse before you use it or it will have a bitter taste. To prepare quinoa at home, rinse under cold water for 3 minutes. Drain well and toast in non-stick frying pan until quinoa starts to pop. (dries it) Allow it to cool before packing.
