2 ounces Butter
1/3 cup Cocoa Powder
1 Egg
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1/2 cup Sugar
1/4 cup Brown Sugar
1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
1 cup All-Purpose Flour
3/4 teaspoon Baking Powder
1/3 cup Mini Chocolate Chips
Confectioners Sugar for dusting

Preheat oven to 350F.

Melt butter and cocoa powder together in a glass bowl in the microwave or over a pot of simmering water. Set aside. In a separate bowl whisk together egg, salt, sugars and vanilla.

Slowly add egg mixture into chocolate mixture, stirring constantly to avoid curdling the egg.

In a medium bowl mix flour and baking powder together. Mix dry into wet. Stir in chocolate chips. Cool mixture in refrigerator for approximately 30 minutes or until batter is firm enough to handle.

Form cookies into dime sized balls and roll in powdered sugar. Transfer cookies to a parchment lined sheet tray. Bake for 5 minutes for chewier and 8 minutes for crunchier. Allow to cool before serving.
