1 small oinion minced
2 tbsp. chopped garlic
4 tbsp. olive oil
1 can crushed tomatoes
1 sm. can tomato paste
water
2 tbsp. salt
1 tsp. crushed red pepper
2 - 3 basil leaves or 1 tsp. dried basil

Directions:

In a large pot, saute onion and garlic in oil until tender. Add crushed tomatoes. With the same empty can from the tomatoes fill with water and add. Add tomato paste. Add remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil for 10 minutes and simmer for 50 minutes occasionally stirring.

Sauce will thicken when simmering. If sauce seems to thick add 1/4 cup of water.
