1 cup flour
2/3 cup Brown Sugar
1 tbsp shortening
Mix into crumbs and set aside half mixture (almost one cup)

Mix: 1 cup molasses
3/4 cup boiling water
1 tsp baking soda
1 beaten egg
Then mix with half the crumbs. Do Not Beat. Put into pie shell and cover with the remaining crumbs. Bake at 375 for 11 minutes, then bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
