8 oz cream cheese softened
1/2 c. butter softened
1/1/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
4 ripe bananas mashed
2 1/4 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
Topping:
2 1/2 c. chopped nuts
6 T. sugar
3 tsp. cinnamon

Heat oven to 350º. Cut a circle of parchment paper for the bottom of a tube pan. Spray the pan and parchment paper. In a large bowl, beat the cheese, butter and sugar until fluffy. Add the eggs, one at a time beating after each egg. Add the banana and the vanilla. Sift the flour, baking powder and baking soda together. Add it gradually to the creamed egg mixture.
Topping:
In a small bowl add the nuts sugar and cinnamon and mix well.
Pour 1/3 of the batter in the pan and sprinkle with 1/3rd of the topping mixture. Add another third of the batter and then 1/3rd topping. Add the balance of the batter and sprinkle remaining topping over the top. Bake approximately 50 min. until tester comes out clean and the top of the cake springs back slightly.
Remove and cool on a rack. Just before it is completely cool place some wax paper over the top or the pan and invert to remove. Place right side up on your serving dish and let it cook completely.
