Ingredients:
Any amount of Beef Roast or Pork Roast (recommend 2-3 lbs. of each)
One Onion
One Packet of Lipton’s Onion soup
Water
Salt and Pepper to taste

Sauce Ingredients:
1 Cup Catsup
½ Cup Chili Sauce
¼ Cup Dry Minced Onions
4 Tablespoons of Regular Mustard
3 Tablespoons of Liquid Smoke
Approximately 5 Tablespoons of Brown Sugar

Directions:
Salt and pepper both sides of the meats and sear on all side. Place all the meat in a crock pot with the onion, Onion Soup and cover with water. Recommend cooking on high for 2 hours then reduce to low heat and cook over night (or start in the morning and it will be ready by supper). Pour off the juice and set aside (which can be used with potatoes and carrots for a soup if you choose). Remove the bone and fat from the meat and cut into small pieces (or shred).
Combine the Sauce ingredients in a 2 cup measuring bowl mixing thoroughly. Replace the meats into the crock pot and add the sauce mixture. Set on low for 1-2 hours.

Personal Notes:
If you desire, you can make extra sauce to add to the completed product for desired flavor. Just take the sauce ingredients and simmer for 10 minutes. You can also use the sauce for any other BBQ recipes in place of store bought BBQ Sauce.

Options: You can use all beef or all pork if you desire. I recommend boneless chuck roast for the beef and pork shoulder, commonly referred to as Boston Butt for the pork. I also like using hamburger for a sloppy Joe style of sandwich.
