1/4tsp Salt
1/2Cup Softened Butter
16 Caramels
2/3Cup Sugar
3Tablespoons Whipping Cream
2Tablespoons Milk
1 1/4Cups Finely Chopped Pecans
1tsp Vanilla
1/2Cup Chocolate Chips
1Cup Flour
1tsp Shortening
1/3Cup Cocoa Powder

Directions:
Directions:
Separate egg reserving white and refrigerate. In large mixing bowl, beat butter. Add sugar and mix well. Beat in egg yolk, milk and vanilla. In another bowl, stir together flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Add flour mixture to butter mixture and beat until well combined. Wrap dough in plastic wrap and chill for 2 hours. Preheat oven to 350. In small saucepan heat and stir caramels and whipping cream until mixture is smooth. Set aside. Slightly beat reserved egg white, shape dough into 1 inch balls. Roll balls in egg white, then in nuts. Place on lightly greased cookie sheet 1 inch apart. Make indentation in center with thumb. Bake 10 minutes or until edges are firm. Spoon caramel mixture into center and transfer to rack to cool. Mix chocolate chips and shortening in saucepan until mixture is smooth and drizzle cookies with chocolate.
