1 can Beer

Directions:
Mix sop ingredients and simmer on stove for 1 1/2 hours while prepping outdoor grill and brisket.

Trim brisket and sear on both sides on outdoor grill, 10 - 15 minutes on each side. Then smoke over hickory wood for about an hour. Make a package for brisket out of extra heavy foil, place brisket in foil and pour sop over it. Fold foil together to seal and cook over low heat on the grill for several hours. When done, it will be very tender. Pour sop off of brisket and use for dipping or over potatoes.

Personal Notes:
This recipe came from my grandfather James William Luther Sease, who we called Daddy. He was from South Carolina where they made brisket with a sop.
