1 Cup Butter (2 sticks)
1 Cup Vegetable Oil
2 Egg Yolks
7/8 Cup Sugar
2 Tbsp Bourbon
1/3 Cup Orange Juice
2 Tsp Grated Orange Rind
1 Tsp Vanilla
6 1/2 Cups Sifted All-Purpose Flour
3 Tsp Baking Powder
1 Tsp Baking Soda
1/2 Tsp Cinnamon
1/3 Tsp Cloves
1 Cup Fine Chopped Walnuts

Syrup:
2 Cups Honey
1 Cup Water

Directions:
Beat butter and oil on medium speed 10 minutes. Add egg yolks and sugar 10 minutes more. Add bourbon, orange juice, orange rind and vanilla. Beat 2 minutes. Sift flour, baking powder, soda, cinnamon and cloves. Blend into creamed mixture. Shape cookies. Bake 25 - 30 minutes at 350º.

Syrup:
When cookies are completely cool:
Bring to simmer, honey and water. Keep on low heat. Float cookie on one side for 30 seconds, then flip. Remove when bubbles stop rising from the cookie. Remove and sprinkle with chopped walnuts.
