1 French baquette stick -3 in in diameter
1/4 cup flour
5 cups mild beef stock
3/4 cup swiss cheese - grated
3 tbsp butter
2 cups onion thinly sliced
3/4 cup med cheddar cheese - grated
1/4 cup parmesan cheese - grated

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350.Cut bread into slices about 1/2 in thick.Bake in oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until bread is dry and lightly browned and set aside. Melt butter in a saucepan cook onions over low heat stirring occasionally until onions are rich golden brown, about 30 minutes.sprinkle flour over onions and cook, stirring for 2 minutes.

Add the stock,salt and pepper and simmer for about 30 minutes.

Transfer soup to serving bowls and top each with a slice of toasted bread.Combine cheeses and sprinkle over bread.

Place under heated broiler until bubbly and lightly browned.
