3 1/4 cups flour
1 tsp.ground ginger
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. each ground cinnamon,ground cloves and salt
3/4 cup butter or margarine
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup molasses
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
parchment paper

Directions:
Directions:
Combine dry ingredients and set aside
beat butter,brown sugar and molasses in large bowl on low speed until light and fluffy. beat in egg and vanilla. Gradually stir in flour mixture until well blended.divide dough in half. Wrap;refrigerate 2 hours or until firm.
heat oven o 350º line 2 cookie sheets with parchment paper.

Roll dough 1/4 inch thick;cut out cookies and place on paper.

Bake until edges begin to brown. 10 to 12 minutes.
