Maple Leaf Wieners (I usually use 4 pkg pickling spice, vinegar, water.

Cut wieners in half. Add 1 or 2 tsp pickling spice to water with wieners. Boil wieners until cooked (plump) Sterilize mason jars in a 350 degree oven for 10 minutes. Mix 1 cup of water with every 2 cups of vinegar. Fill jars with wieners and cover with water/vinegar mixture up to 1/2 inch from the lid of the jar. Apply lids. I usually store these in the fridge.

This has been a Christmas tradition for us. The children would keep asking, "have you made pickled wieners yet?" These are much cheaper than the store bought pickled wieners and they are very tasty.
