Directions:
In a large saucepan, add enough water to cover ribs. Cover and simmer until nearly tender, about 30-40 minutes. Meanwhile, in another small saucepan, melt butter, add onion and garlic and cook 4 to 5 minutes. Add catsup, Worcestershire sauce, celery seed, salt, hot pepper sauce, lemon slices, mustard, chili sauce and brown sugar. Bring to boil. Drain ribs, place in shallow baking dish. Pour boiling sauce over ribs. Cover with foil and bake in 350 degree oven for 20 minutes; remove foil and bake for another 15-20 minutes, basting often with sauce, or until just a little sticky. Personal Notes:
Sean's mother, Sandie McCraw told me about this method of making ribs. I was lucky enough to find the recipe online, and decided to make them for my family, who absolutely loved them! So quick and easy to prepare, you can make them even quicker by using bottled barbecue sauce! Our favorite is Stubbs barbecue sauce for pork.
