Ingredients:
Ingredients:
3 lbs. beef short ribs - no bone
2T. vegetable oil
1 (10-3.4oz) can condensed onion soup
1c. water
1T. lemon juice
1/4t. ground cloves
1/2 t. black pepper
1 slice pumpernickel bread, crumbled

Directions:
Directions:
In a soup pot, brown the short ribs in the oil over medium-high heat for 6-8 minutes. The recipe calls to drain the meat, but I didn't
Add the remaining ingredients except the crumbled bread and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover and cook for about 2 hours or until the ribs are done to desired tenderness, stirring occasionally. They should fall apart
Stir in the crumbled bread and serve with cook egg noodles and additional pumpernickel bread on the side.
