1/3 c. butter
1 c. flour
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 T. flour
1/2 t. baking powder
1/4 t. salt
1/2 c. chopped nuts
3/4 c. coconut

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together butter, 1 c. flour and 1/2 c. brown sugar. Pat firmly over bottom of buttered 7 X 11 pan. Bake at 325 for 20 minutes. DO NOT BROWN.

Beat egg until is begins to get thick, gradually beat in remaining 1/2 c. brown sugar and vanilla - stir in 1 T. flour, baking powder, and salt. Fold in nuts and coconut. Bake 25 minutes.

Frost: 1 T. soft butter, 1 1/2 c. powdered sugar, 2 T. lemon juice and zest from 1 lemon.
