Mom's Coconut Cream Pie Recipe

1 Baked Pie crust

1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. cornstarch
2 c. milk
3 egg yolks
1/2 stick margarine
1 c. coconut

Directions:
Directions:
Combine 1 cup sugar and 1/4 c cornstarch in a saucepan and add a little milk to moisten. Stir in egg yolks, then add remainder of milk. Cook until thick. Add vanilla, margarine and coconut.
Pour into baked pie shell.
Top with Meringue, using the 3 remaining egg whites.
