4 pints fresh strawberries
2 (1.75 oz) pkgs of Pectin (Use Sure Jell or Equal)
8 cups sugar

Directions:
Wash and hull the strawberries then crush them. You should have one quart of crushed strawberries. Stir the sugar into the prepared fruit. Stir the pectin into 1 1/2 cups of hot water. Bring the water to a boil stirring constantly. Boil for 1-2 minutes. Stir the hot pectin mixture into the strawberry mixture. Stir until the dugar is dissolved. Pour into clean plastic containers. Leave at least 1/2 inch for expansion at the top. Let stand at room temperature for 24 hours to set. After the jam has set, store in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks or up to 1 year in the freezer.
