Ingredients:
1 c. sifted cake flour
1 1/2 sifted powdered sugar
1 1/2 c. egg whites (10 - 12)
1 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. almond extract

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven 375 F. Sift flour and powered sugar together. Combine egg whites, cream of tartar and salt in a large bowl. Beat until foamy. Add the regular sugar gradually. Continue beating until meringue forms stiff, glossy peaks. Fold in vanilla and almond flavorings. Sift flour mixture, one quarter at a time, over meringue, fold in. Push batter into ungreased 10x4" tube pan. Gently cut through batter with knife or spatula to prevent air pockets.
Bake 30 - 35 min. until cake is done (touch the top, and it will spring back.) Invert pan, let stand until cold. Remove cake from pan.

After you eat a bite of this cake, you will never buy store bought again. There's a world of difference! Add strawberries as a topping to each slice. Yummy!
