Filling:
4 C sliced apples
1 heaping t cinnamon
1 heaping T sugar
1 pinch table salt
1/4 C warm water
Topping:
1/12 C flour
1 C sugar
1/2 C cold butter or margarine (1 stick)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix apples with cinnamon, sugar and salt until well blended. Add water and mix well.
Place in a buttered 8" x 8" baking dish.
Sift flour and sugar together.
Add cold butter to flour and cut in with pastry cutter until dough looks crumbly.
Sprinkle over apples.
Bake @ 350 for 30 to 40 minutes.
