Raisin Bars Recipe

1 cup raisins
2 cups water
1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 3/4 cups flour
1 tsp soda
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp cloves
1/2 tsp salt

Boil water and raisins 10 minutes. Add butter and let cool. Sift dry ingredients and stir well. Pour into large pan and bake. Frost when cool.

1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup milk
1 tbsp light syrup
2 tbsp butter
1/4 tsp salt
Boil one minute
