6 veal chops or steaks
Salt and pepper to taste
1 egg, slightly beaten
2 Tbsp. cold water
Flour
Bread crumbs
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 C. milk
4 Tbsp. butter

Directions:
Directions:
Season veal with salt and pepper. Dredge in flour; dip in egg and water mixture and then in bread crumbs. Brown on both sides in butter. Sprinkle with lemon juice. Add milk and bake, covered, in a 350 degree oven for 40 minutes. Uncover and bake 10 minutes more, or until milk is absorbed. Do not substitute for butter, as no other shortening compliments veal as butter does.
