1 3 oz. can broiled mushrooms, drained (saving liquid and then add milk to make 1/2 c.)
1 slightly beaten egg
1 1/2 t. Worcestershire sauce
1 t. salt
1/2 t. dry mustard
dash pepper
1 1/2 c. soft bread crumbs
1 1/2 lb. ground beef (93 % lean works best)
2 T. catsup
1 T. light corn syrup

Mix the mushrooms, milk and mushroom juice,bread, egg and seasonings and let stand for five minutes. Mix in ground beef and shape in a loaf in a 13 x 9 x 2 greased baking dish. Bake one hour at 350. Mix the catsup and syrup and brush on loaf and bake 15 minutes more.
