Chocolate Cherry Bars Recipe

1 package dark chocolate cake mix
21 oz. can cherry pie filling
1 tsp. almond extract
2 eggs, beaten

1 cup sugar
5 tbsp. margarine or butter
1/3 cup milk
1 cup (6 ozs.) semi-sweet chocolate pieces

Preheat oven to 350
Grease and flour a 15x10 inch jelly roll pan or a 13x9 inch pan.
In large bowl, combine the first four ingredients.
Stir by hand until well mixed. Pour into prepared pan. Bake until toothpick comes out clean.
Jelly roll pan about 20 to 30 minutes, 13x9 inch pan about 25 to 30 minutes.
In small saucepan, combine sugar, margarine and milk. Boil, stirring constantly 1 minute. Remove from heat, stir in chocolate pieces until smooth. Pour over warm bars.
