4 lbs pork country style spareribs; 2 cusp sliced onion; 2 cloves garlic, minced; 1 tbsp salad oil; 1/4 cup vinegar; 1/4 cup chili sauce; 3 tbsp brown sugar; 2 tbsp lemon juice; 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce; 1 tsp dry mustard

Roast ribs meaty side down in shallow roasting pan at 450 degrees for 30 minutes. Drain off excess fat. Turn ribs meaty side up. Meanwhile, cook onion and garlic in hot oil until tender. Add remaining ingredients, 1/2 cup water and 1-1/2 teaspoons salt. Simmer 10 minutes. Pour sauce over ribs. Reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees. Bake ribs about 1-1/2 hours or until tender, basting occasionally with sauce. If sauce gets too thick add more water.
