2 cups apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup pineapple juice or water
1/2 t hot sauce
1/4 t black pepper
1 T sugar
1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce
1 T crushed red pepper (or to taste)
1/4 t ground red pepper
1 t salt
optional: 1/2 medium onion cubed or dried minced onion, garlic (powder or minced)1 cup tomato catsup
1/2 stick butter
also optional: 1/2 cup brown sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Bring cider vinegar, pineapple juice or water, hot sauce, black pepper, sugar,
Worcestershire sauce, red pepper and salt, and onion or garlic if used. Bring to boil then simmer about 20 minutes. Add catsup and butter. Stir well and simmer 15 minutes. Adjust seasoning and catsup to taste. For a sweeter, thicker sauce, substitute 1/2 cup brown sugar for sugar. Good with pork and beef. Refrigerate - will last a long time.
