Dough:

2 lbs. sifted flour (cake flour is best)
1 lb. Crisco
1 tbsp. salt
2 cups sugar
8 heaping tsp. baking powder
8 tsp. vanilla
4 beaten eggs
1 cup milk-- *add enough to form dough consistency

Filling:

4 lbs. figs
1 lb. of walnuts chopped not crushed
1 lb. of almonds chopped not crushed
1 jar of orange marmalade
2 tbsp. of cinnamon
2 large bars of chocolate with almonds chopped
1/2 cup of honey
2 shots of brandy

Dough:

Mix Crisco and flour with wire whisk until there are no lumps. Add eggs, milk, and vanilla a little at a time. Roll dough out on wax paper long like a snake.

Filling:

Wash figs and soak. Grind figs. Mix all ingredients together. Put filling on half of dough and fold the other half over on top. Put water on one side so it will stick. Cut into sections on a diagonal. Bake at 350º for 25 mins.
