2 slices bacon chopped
2 lbs cubed beef
1/4 Tsp marjoram
1/4 Tsp thyme
1/4 Tsp garlic powder
1/4 Tsp black pepper
2 cups chopped onions
2 Tbsp flour
1 cup cooking wine
1 1/2 cups beef broth
1 Tbsp ketchup
Potatoes
Carrots
Peas
Celery

Directions:
Directions:
Cook bacon until crisp. Set aside. Cook onions in bacon fat until tender. Set aside. Brown beef. Add flour, thyme, marjoram, pepper & garlic. Stir. Cook one minute. Stir in crumbled bacon, onions, wine, beef broth and ketchup. Simmer, loosely covered, 2 hours. Add chopped veggies, cover and cook, 1 hour or until tender. Makes 6 servings.
