Ingredients:
3 c. sifted flour
1tsp. salt
1 c. crisco
1 egg
1 tbsp. white vinegar
5 tbsp. COLD water

Directions:
Directions:
Put flour and salt in a medium bowl, add crisco (I keep this in the fridge) and work into the flour. In a cup beat the egg, vinegar and water together, add to the flour mixture with a fork, just until blended.( I use my food processor now, works great) Half the dough and make 2 balls and place in waxed paper or ziplock bag . Place in fridge for at least an hour. Half each ball and roll out to make your pie. Work the dough as little as possible to keep it from getting tough. This recipe will make 2- 8 inch covered pies. For single crust pies bake at 400 for 15 to 17 minutes.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
I use bigger pie plates so I only make 1- 2 crust pie or 2 single crust pies. I usually make the pie dough the day before I am going to use it and keep it in the fridge. Can be rolled and frozen too. This recipe came to me from Roy's Godmother and Aunt Phebe Treiber.
