6- 12 links Italian sausage
The Meatballs:
Recipe is for 1 lb. ground beef
1 clove garlic
1 tspn. salt
1 slice bread
1 tsp. parsley
1/2 c. Romano cheese
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/2 tsp. basil
1 egg
Sauce:
1 onion,diced
1 lg can tomatoes (29 oz.)
1 lg can tomato paste
sprinkle in oregano and basil

Directions:
Directions:
Start frying the Italian sausage until nicely brown.
Meatballs:
Mash the garlic and salt with spoon. Soak bread in water and squeeze out excess water. Mix with garlic and salt. Put ground beef in a bowl, shake in parsley, Romano cheese, oregano and egg. Mix all together with hands. Roll into balls. Fry turning over to brown on all sides. When browned, add to sauce.
Sauce:
Cook onions in a large pot until browned. Add tomatoes and paste. If you use whole tomatoes, goosh them with your hands. Add 1/2 can water per each can you put in. Sprinkle in It. seasonings and stir. Add browned sausage and meatballs to sauce. Cook all 3 hours, simmer gently. Sauce will thicken as it cooks. If too thin add more tom. paste and remove cover. Remove meatballs and sausage after cooked.

This recipe will serve a large gang. Make a large pot and freeze small amounts for later. Serve meatballs, sausage and braccioles on the side. Don't forge the pasta!
